our founder knows dirt

Raised on a ranch in Oklahoma, Kobey Stiles developed a love for hard work—and moving dirt—at an early age. He first drove a tractor at age 5 and knew he’d found his calling. His childhood passion grew into a career spanning more than 25 years in the heavy construction and dirt work industries in the USA, Middle East, and South America (habla Español? Yes!)

Over the years, he has built a reputation for tackling demanding projects with integrity, precision, and a hands-on approach. Kobey is a US Army Veteran, and during his time in the service he was deployed as a Combat Engineer in support of Desert Shield and Desert Storm campaigns. Upon honorable discharge, he further built his resume working for large, multinational EPC construction companies. From oilfield locations and commercial developments to large-scale site preparation, excavation, and land clearing, he now brings a lifetime of experience to every project.

Today, as the proprietor of Tallhorse Construction, he leads with the same values he learned growing up on the ranch: work hard, keep your word, and never cut corners. Those principles are the foundation of the company and the reason customers continue to rely on his expertise for every job.
